Life Church was founded on John 10:10 - "The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy but, I the Christ, have come that you may have LIFE and LIFE more abundantly.”
About Us
We are a group of people driven by the power and presence of God. We know that God longs to be known by His people and that His plans are to prosper us, not to harm us, and to give us a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). The word says that God's people perish for lack of knowledge. He desires for us to know Him and to know His word. God has a plan and purpose for every individual. If we do not have knowledge of His purpose then we are destined to wonder in the wilderness of life. Our goal is to help everyone understand who God is, what His purpose is, and how to connect to God in a real way, thus fulfilling His plan and His purpose for their lives.
A Brief History
Life Church has existed in Rolla, Missouri since 2006. Services were originally on Friday nights to accommodate the families of today consisting of many parents who work weekends and were unable to take their families to church on Sunday. Life Church began in the home of Pastors John and Saucy Thompson. As services continued, the pastors home was no longer sufficient to accommodate the increasing congregation. With deep prayer and ample search, Life Church discovered "The Centre" (a local community fitness center that desires to help the community as much as we do). Thus, Life Church began to congregate in the conference room of "The Centre" every Friday night until a facility opened up to accommodate the needs of the congregation. Three and a half years later, Life Church moved into an old engineering firm known as the Mead building, where we began to have services on Saturday Evenings. Since 2019 we have moved our Services to Sunday nights. We at Life Church are excited to see what God does from here. On June 5th 2022 we moved closer to the middle of Rolla into our own building at 1425 Hauck Drive. At the beginning of 2023, after seek the Lord in Prayer, we moved our services to 10 am.
